Image task pending, no result or download failed? A troubleshooting checklist

Oct 16, 2026

Start with your image tasks and sign in with the account that created the image. This checklist helps you choose the next action without treating every problem as a failed generation. For setup, see the generation guide and reference upload checklist.

Identify where the problem happened

What you seeWhat to check next
Sign-in, prompt, reference or balance check prevents submissionCorrect that input or account condition first. Do not assume a new task exists.
Pending or processingOpen that task's result. If a Refresh action is offered, use it to check the existing task.
Browser timeout or status query errorTreat the final result as unconfirmed. Check task history before submitting again.
Success but no available imagesA status and an image result are separate pieces of information. Inspect the result rather than assuming a file can be downloaded.
Failed or canceledRead the displayed task status. A new attempt is a new task; review input and cost before retrying.
An image appears but downloading failsFollow the download checks below. Do not regenerate solely because the download failed.

Pending, processing and browser timeout

The generator stops its browser-side wait after a timeout or query error. That does not establish that the provider stopped working. A picture may also appear while a task is still processing; it is not by itself proof of the final status.

Open the existing task from your history. Pending and processing task details offer a Refresh action when available. It checks that existing task and returns to its result; it does not submit a new generation. Do not repeatedly reload or create replacement tasks just to check progress. No status guarantees a fixed completion time.

The task is missing or its result is unavailable

Confirm that you are signed in with the original account. Task history is private, so another account cannot use a task link to retrieve its result. Return to the task list and open the entry there instead of guessing or sharing a private result URL.

If a task says success but has no available image, that does not provide a usable file. If the image itself is unavailable, its provider link may no longer work. Refreshing a completed task is not a promise to recreate or permanently store that image.

Download checks, in order

  1. Open the existing result and try its Download action once; wait for the in-progress state to finish.
  2. Check your browser's download indicator and downloads folder. A page triggering a save does not prove the file was saved where you expected.
  3. If the page reports a download error, confirm your connection and sign-in state, then retry the same download. The task-history downloader rejects empty or unsupported image responses rather than saving an invalid file.
  4. If the image link remains unavailable, keep the task details for your own reference. Do not post signed image URLs, account information or private prompts publicly.
  5. Only consider a new generation after checking the existing result and the displayed cost. A download retry does not submit a generation; generating again does.

Check cost before a new attempt

Use the task details and credit records to review what the account currently shows. An uncertain browser message is not a refund decision, and this checklist does not promise automatic refunds, a restored expired image or a successful retry.

If your question concerns a purchase or subscription instead of an image task, follow the billing and payment checklist.

If you decide to generate again, return to the generator, review references and prompt, and check the selected model's current cost. The free and credit guide explains the existing mode distinctions.
